Since Maya is an only child, we try our best to give her what she wants for as long as it will develop her character and help her learn new things. She already displayed an interest in horses even at a young age of 8 and in fact, she’d love to have her own pet horse. We had to wait for several years before buying her a horse since the cost was not within our budget. Besides, we had to make sure that owning such a pet is not just a passing fancy. Black Beauty is not really a young horse. The primary reason why we were able to buy the horse was because the owner was facing foreclosure of his farm and he wanted to save his farm and home thus, he was forced to sell his prized possessions.
